Saving Opportunities During the Break

We need to maximize our energy saving opportunities during the break.  The energy management system controlling the heating and air-conditioning will be scheduled OFF at the school sites. An override button on the thermostats will turn on the units for 4 hours. Any employees working during the break can operate the override button on the thermostat.  The heating and air-conditioning will remain on at the Central Office for those employees who are working during the break.

Please help us conserve energy!  The following should be done prior to leaving for Thanksgiving break:

·    Unplug ALL personal appliances and equipment, such as fans, microwaves, coffee pots, radios, refrigerators, etc.
·    Turn off and unplug TV's, DVD's, fax machines, projectors, smart boards, and any other non-essential classroom/office electronic equipment.
·    Turn off all computers and monitors.
·    Turn off all interior lighting and exterior lighting.
·    Turn off and unplug all unnecessary kitchen equipment.
·    Set thermostats to the off position (if applicable), especially in portables.

THANK YOU for helping our district become more energy efficient.

Fun With the APs
